Edge - IoT Engineer

Zenatix by Schneider Electric is on the lookout for a dynamic and dedicated IoT Engineer for its software team working on IoT Edge Gateway that connects with sensors and Zenatix’ in-house built Device Management platform. This role offers a unique chance to delve deep into our business challenges and devise and implement strategic solutions.

• Write effective and scalable code for high concurrency edge gateway computing. (Python and Shell Scripting)
• Enhance and Integrate with IoT protocols like MQTT, Modbus, BACnet, LoRa, Zigbee, etc.
• Closely collaborate with the troubleshooting team for debugging products/bugs
• Develop components to improve stability, responsiveness and overall performance
• Work or adapt to work in a Linux environment.
• Develop understanding of the various devices and h/w components along with their functioning for integration and debugging.
• Develop understanding of networking to debug connectivity and IoT sensors communication issues.

Skills

• Good programming skills with experience in building python applications and REST APIs
• Good to have understanding of Linux fundamentals and shell scripting

• Good understanding of networking communications
• Able to write efficient code for the problem at hand and to understand the various computation and memory complexities of the code.

• Working knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, Zigbee.

• Knowledge of DVCS like Git etc.
• Good to have understanding of and projects on Raspberry Pi/Arduino.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s in technology in Electronics / Computer Science or Equivalent
• Candidate should have 3 months to 2 years of relevant experience including internships
