Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Technical Lead to oversee different aspects of integrations of our cloud stack with third party external systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Python/Django and extensive experience integrating with third party systems (irrespective of the domain) at a production scale. The person should have mentored junior developers and ensured complete ownership of custom API integrations from a technical point of view with close interactions with the product/business team. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Software Development: Spearhead the design and development of complex software projects to ensure robust, scalable, and high-quality solutions. Demonstrate strong experience in integrating third-party APIs and developing RESTful services.
- API Documentation: Take responsibility for maintaining comprehensive API documentation that serves both internal developers and external partners, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Technical Guidance and Mentorship: Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Promote best practices in software development to foster professional growth and excellence within the team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, operations, and business units, to define project specifications and timelines. Ensure alignment and integration of software development goals with broader company objectives.
- Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Foster a culture of quality and accountability in the development process.
- Emerging Technologies and Trends: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends. Leverage this knowledge to drive innovation within the team and the broader company, positioning us as leaders in our field.
- CI/CD Best Practices: Champion Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) best practices to ensure rapid and reliable code deployments. Advocate for automation in the deployment process to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Prioritize unit tests and test automation as foundational components of the software development lifecycle. Commit to ensuring software reliability and quality through rigorous testing practices.
- Advocacy for Best Practices: Actively advocate for the adoption of best coding and design practices across the development team. Aim to minimize technical debt by fostering an environment where quality is paramount and best practices are the norm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in Python Django.
- Expertise in API integration and development, with experience in RESTful API services.
- 5-8 years of overall software development experience.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of impactful contributions in a leading organization.
- Strong knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud platforms.
- Good understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Passionate about software development and technology.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
